... the development of agriculture in Central America has caused critical environmental impacts.
Resilient Central America (ResCA) seeks to improve the quality of life of producers and fishermen in the region. How?

THROUGH AN INTEGRAL STRATEGY THAT PROMOTES:

FOOD SECURITY

RESILIENCE TO CLIMATE CHANGE

Through piloting innovative solutions and by working across different scales, this project will develop healthy agricultural systems that build resiliency to climate change, conserve natural habitats, and strengthens local economies.

Why Central America?

It is a strategic region for its emblematic landscapes, rainforests and tropical forests, and historically rich cultures.

But also because of the evidence of the strong environmental impact that has resulted in erratic and insufficient rains, and the loss of crops of basic grains and thousands of head of cattle. In this way, the effects of climate change have impacted the most vulnerable: subsistence and small-scale farmers.

WHERE DO WE WORK?

Projects in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Belice, and at regional level

our goal

Implementation of Healthy Agricultural Systems that drive more resilient communities in the face of climate change and propel food security into a new era in Central America.
