Jesse started with TNC in 2015 as the Director of Marketing and is based in Mexico City. Originally from San Francisco California, he has previously worked in the private sector for Fitbit. His first experience with conservation was serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer working for a national park and protected area in Guatemala. After Peace Corps, he earned a dual Master’s in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from Colorado State University and El Colegio de la Frontera Sur in Chiapas, Mexico. His academic experience is in natural resource management, but as a professional he has been more involved with marketing. His master’s thesis analyzed market opportunities and designed a communications strategy for the REDD+ mechanism of the state government of Chiapas, Mexico.
